Hastings Mill

Est. 1853

Located in Hastings, Minnesota, this was the FIRST operating mill in Minnesota as well as the first all-roller mill facility in the U.S. It was originally powered by the Vermillion River. The purifier, patent barrel and graham flour were invented here.

What Hastings Makes:

Hastings makes many different blends of flour that get used for various finished goods, including bread, buns, pizza, tortillas, pasta, cereal bars, snack foods and many others. The Hastings facility helps feed more than 7 million people per day.

Where Does Hastings Get its Wheat?

The Hastings mill helps bring top-quality flour to the Midwestern region. We receive locally and regionally grown winter, spring, durum and rye wheat from fields around the Dakotas and Canada. Wheat is received from rail cars and trucks. The Hastings Mill brings top-quality wheat to the Midwestern region of the United States.

Giving Back

The Ardent Mills Hastings team is active in the community and often partners with local parks, veterans home and community events.
